Hosting a pre or post conference workshop

Consideration will be given to requests for pre or post conference symposia and workshops to be held in conjunction with the 2010 International Microbicides Conference (M2010).  Requests should be for events to be held on appropriate subject matter related to the field of HIV prevention and microbicides research. Each request must be approved by the conference co-chairs.  Requests must be received no later than 6:00 p.m. (eastern time) on February 15, 2010.  Notification of acceptance will occur by February 28, 2010. 
 

All expenses and logistical arrangements related to these events will be the responsibility of the sponsoring organization, including but not limited to, identification of and payment for a venue, ordering and payment for audio visual equipment, ordering and payment for food and beverage, development and distribution of promotional materials, advance and onsite registration, development and placement of directional signage, and onsite staffing.  Upon request, arrangements can be made to establish a link from the M2010 Web site to the event-related Web site (if appropriate). 

Guidelines for Submitting Requests

To submit a request to host a pre or post conference symposium or workshop, please submit a brief proposal that includes the following information:

• Title of the symposium or workshop;
• Topic of symposium or workshop;
• Tentative agenda;
• Preferred date and time of the event;
• Target audience;
• Estimated number of participants;
• Anticipated location of the event;
• Name of the sponsoring organization; and the
• Name, title, telephone number, and e-mail address of the sponsoring organization's contact person.
