Personally Provided Information
You do not have to give us personal information to visit our Web site.
If you choose to provide us with additional information about yourself through an e-mail message, form, etc., we will only maintain the information as long as needed to respond to your question or to fulfill the stated purpose of the form.
However, all communications addressed to the conference organizers are maintained for the duration of the conference (through May 25, 2010). These communications are also protected by the Privacy Act which restricts our use of them, yet permits certain disclosures. If you are submitting payment for your conference registration or making a donation through the Web site, we use a 3rd party vendor working in partnership with us, to collect your credit card, billing address, and other verifying information. All credit card information is transmitted in an encrypted form, using SSL (secure socket layer) encryption, the industry-standard. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Organizers of the 2010 International Microbicides Conference assume no liability for disclosure of data due to errors in transmission or unauthorized third parties. The e-mail address provided by you upon joining our mailing list, during account set-up, at registration, or as updated, may be used by the organizers of the 2010 International Microbicides Conference, to contact you for any reason, including: (1) your account status (including an e-mail confirmation of registration or submission of any form), (2) to send you conference-related notices.
Disclosure
The 2010 International Microbicides Conference Organizers do not disclose, give, sell or transfer any personal information about our Web site visitors, unless required for law enforcement or statute.

This site is maintained by a 2010 International Microbicides Conference contractor. It is protected by various provisions of Title 18, U.S. Code. Violations of Title 18 are subject to criminal prosecution in federal court.
